Our goal at Horses by Nature is to achieve the most honourable relationship possible with horses while respecting the values that all Living things be treated as one.

Our training philosophy embraces natural energy work, positive reinforcement principles and the power of nature. As a result of our extensive years of experience with horses we have concluded thus far that the use of metal in their mouth (bits), nailing steel to their hooves, or USING them as a means for financial gain or for appeasing the human ego through competitive sports/industry is simply not a natural or acceptable idea to them. Freedom is the battle cry for all sentient beings! Obviously setting horses free may not be a viable option in today's world but recognizing and respecting the horse's perspective and what their fundamental core needs are, is. If we wish to understand the equines' way of life and communicate successfully, we must learn their language and natural world. This is how we define Natural Horsemanship.

At Horses by Nature we examine all facets of this astounding animal including but not limited to, environmental conditions, physical abilities, emotional needs and other scientific approaches to enable us to view a horse's life as much as possible through their eyes. If we discipline ourselves to understand how a horse may think and view the environment from their perspective and curtail the responsive human's thought process of conditioned understanding, we virtually eliminate all use of forceful and painful techniques.

The evolution for horses has reached a new era. It is time for us to acknowledge that they are the teachers and we the humans are the students of the life lessons that they supply.
