NATURAL PRINCIPLE LESSONS

In order for us to have great communication in the saddle we must establish great communication from the ground. Understanding horse psychology is the key to gaining rapport and trust with these animals.

horse lessonsEvery horse and human's situation may be different, however, the horse's instinctual needs are always the same. They are a herd animal and they must feel safe - a leader provides this security. They learn through comfort and TRUST, they play with each other and they feel love and bond with their own kind easily.

It is our responsibility to learn their language to open the door of communication in terms of what comes naturally to them. Have you ever gone to another country where they speak a different language than you? At first you try and talk to them, then when you realize the other person does not understand you, you talk LOUDER! Finally when that doesn't seem to work you start to use sign and body language. Welcome to the horse's world. They don't know what we are saying but they have a sign or body language all of their own.

Our lessons are based on teaching you, the human, this body language and psychology through the use of positive reinforcement methods.

You will learn:

  • What your horse is trying to communicate to you.
  • How natural principles applied can uncover and solve problems.
  • What motivates a horse and when they are trying.
  • How to apply positive reinforcement training (also known as clicker training).
  • How to keep you and your horse safe.
  • Riding with responsibility and confidence (without the use of a bit!).
  • And so much more...

We provide lessons on a private, semi-private and group setting. If you can't come to us then we will travel to you. (travel fees may apply)
