What is often overlooked is that the teacher must have that same understanding of the human, in order to facilitate a positive learning environment that leads to better a relationship between horse and owner. Elaine Polny has the gift of both. She continually surprises me with her deep insight and intuition. She has a way of knowing what is needed at any given moment to set her students and their horses up for success.

Many masterful horsemen/women can accomplish amazing things with a horse, but lack the skills to pass that knowledge on in a way that a student can hear. Elaine teaches by listening to the student and the horse. In this way she can put together a program that is specific to the needs of each horse and owner.
